1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — for example, that you have already answered the cookie banner. We also use a few similar technologies, such as data stored locally in your browser, and this policy covers those too.

2. How we use them

We keep our use of cookies deliberately light. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any information collected through them.

Cookies on this site fall into three groups:

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They include the cookie that records your choice in the cookie banner (so we do not ask you again on every page), cookies used to keep the contact form working and to protect it from abuse, and cookies set by our security and caching systems. If you log in to the site as an administrator, additional cookies keep you signed in.

Analytics — only with your consent

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are in the world, and which devices they use. These cookies are only set if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you decline, they are not set.

Spam prevention

Our contact form is protected by CleanTalk, which uses cookies and similar techniques to tell genuine visitors from automated spam — for example by recording how long a form took to complete. Without this the form would be unusable in practice.

3. The cookies we use

The table below is generated from a scan of this site and lists the individual cookies in each category, with how long each one lasts and what it is for. It updates when the site is re-scanned.

4. Managing your preferences

When you first visit the site, a banner asks which categories you are happy to allow. You can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the banner link and updating your choice. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened while consent was in place.

5. Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you refuse cookies, remove ones already stored, or warn you before one is set. Be aware that blocking all cookies will stop parts of this site — and most other sites — from working properly.

6. Cookies set by others

Some pages embed content from other services, such as video. Where that happens, the provider may set its own cookies once the content loads, governed by their policies rather than ours.

7. Changes and contact
